Account Opening

(1) Client(s) need to complete and sign relevant account opening documents together with the following required personal documents, and visit our office in person during business hours to open an account.

(2) Before Client(s) begin to trade through the internet, please deposit sufficient cleared fund into the account.

Individual Account

•	Residential Proof within the latest 3 months (e.g. rates demand note)

•	Bank Account Proof (e.g. bank statement)

•	Non-Hong Kong Residents please provide the following supports documents:

Corporate Account

•	A certified copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company (up-dated as appropriate)

•	Bank Statement within the latest 3 months OR A certified Audited Accounts for the latest financial year

•	Bank Account Proof AND Correspondence Address Proof within the latest 3 months

For Company incorporated in Hong Kong


•	A certified copy of valid Business Registration Certificate

•	A certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation

•	Latest Annual Return (with details of ultimate beneficial shareholders)

•	Copies of Hong Kong Identity Cards/ Passport of all Authorized Persons and Shareholders

•	Non-Hong Kong Residents please provide the following supports documents: Identity Card Copy, Passport Copy & Entry Permits Copy

For Overseas Company only

•	Certificate of Registration as Overseas Company issued by Hong Kong Companies Registry

•	Registered Agent's Certificate

•	Certificate of Good Standing

•	Certified true copy of register of all directors

•	Copies of Hong Kong Identity Cards/ Passport of all Authorized Persons and Shareholders

•	Non-Hong Kong Residents please provide the following supports documents: Identity Card Copy, Passport Copy & Entry Permits Copy

Notes

•	According to guidelines of the Commission, if the opening documents are not signed in the presence of our company’s staff, the client must:

1.	Arrange a witness to sign on the Client Agreement and on all other documents. The witness must provide his name, title and proof documents (such as business card) for verification. The witness must be a licensee/registrant or staff from a licensed/registered corporation. In other cases, he should be Justice of the Peace, certified public accountant, practicing lawyer, notary, or bank branch manager;

2.	Return the documents to the company together with a cheque with the same signature and same account name as those in opening documents. The cheque must be drawn from an account with minimum HK$10,000 opened in a licensed bank in Hong Kong, and payable to "Quasar Securities Co., Limited”. The new account is only available after the cheque is cleared.

•	Before signing any document, please make sure that you have read, understood, and accept the contents in "Securities Trading Terms and Conditions”. If you have any questions on the terms and conditions, services and settlement procedures, please contact our licensed persons for the information above.

•	Client(s) should make sure all the information provided are true and correct. If client(s) are in doubt with the contents of the Agreement, please seek advice from legal advisor, regulator or the relevant authority before they sign it. To protect interests of client(s), they are invited to visit our office in person to open a securities trading account. Before client(s) begin to trade, they need to know settlement practices, all the commissions, fee and charges for which they may be liable.

•	If the client fails to provide sufficient documentary evidence, the company reserves the right to refuse the client’s account opening application without any explanation.
